First real test of a/c since I sealed all joints, openings, ducts, etc. 95°F+ all weekend with 70 + dew point. Inside 68°F the second a/c never even came on. Knock on wood, I hope it holds up.

As ccsvolsfan stated, I spent a good 2 1/2 hours today sealing the ducts on my A/C that send the cold air out to the registers in the ceiling. There was NO sealant material where these two areas met. I firmly believe that once I had finished the project that i had a good 40% more air flow from the grill with the dump setting and more air will come out of the registers.

Nothing to the camper, but the 4+ yo truck battery bit the dust. Had NAPA put a new one in for $96 + change.

Sure did, I'm too lazy to do it when they do it for free. Don't have to make two trips, one to buy the battery and another to return the core.

Did they put in the little felt washers that prevent corrosion on the posts? Or slather it with Vaseline? You would have done that.

No and I wouldn't have either. The terminals have never corroded with the plastic covered terminals in the 10 yrs I've had the truck.

To spread a little knowledge here, terminals corrode from venting gases/acid around the lead terminals where they meet the plastic casing. The doughnuts or smearing some dielectric grease, keeps the chance to a minimum near none. This, among other reasons is why you never lift a battery by its terminals using one of those terminal strap carriers. It weakens the terminal to plate connection and can cause a pronounced leak.
All this is evident if you spray the terminals with an acid detection battery cleaner and it turns from yellow to red indicating acid.
As far as what I did, we have been enjoying it for the last few days up in North Hudson, New York.

You can also use a voltmeter, with the neg lead hooked to neg post and slowly dragging pos from pos post toward neg....

Doesn't have posts on the top, it has side terminals with screw in covered studs with a 5/16" hex head. Also has a special built in handle.

Well, with all of the posts about AC efficiency, I always thought mine on my 28rl Crusader should be better. I looked at the division between intake and outflow, looks good. Then looked down the ends of both ducts in the roof. Look at the end at the front into the nose cap. That is why the flow was less on the front duct. Little Great Stuff and it is blocked now:-).

My DW had an issue with our sofa sleeper where when you sat on the sofa the front panel for the drawer popped out noticeably every time. I made a couple of latches to hold the panel in register with the seat cushion and connecting to the 1" square tubing at the front of the "spring" section. To open the drawer I have to lift the seat and disengage the 2 latches from the tube and pull the drawer out( which we don" use for storage anyway. To close the drawer, I built a ramp into the latch and you can push the drawer into place and lock.
Also found a queen size air mattress fits perfectly on top to use it to sleep on. I believe the brand was Intek and had a built in 120vac air pump to inflate and deinflate. The stock configuration of the bed is most uncomfortable

Not really a mod, however added this chain/plug wire/brake cable organizer. Neatens things up a bit.
