I washed and waxed it, lubed the seals on the slide out and cleaned the awning

Not much going on with the RV today, raining out side right now. Waiting on fed-x and ups delivery so I can work on my mod. Guess I'll think about things and add to my mod / wish list.

Yeah, we saw a few at the shows last year with wood, instead of carpet. It has been on my "Honey Do" list ever since.

The cheap carpet they use in campers really goes to pot quick on the steps.

I used heavy duty construction adhesive, and I used a couple of pneumatic brad nails on each side to hold them until the glue set.

I bought the treads at Lowe's. They are made to be replacement treads for your home. They already have a nice bull nose, and the trim along the front. I cut the to length, sanded, stained, sanded, and applied 5 layers of spray on polyurethane, sanding between coat. It took about 3 weeks, to let them dry good between each operation. I am really proud of how they turned out.

I got the pin nailer over against the edge, next to the carpet, and you cannot even see the tiny holes.

I debated taking the whole step assembly out of the camper and building a complete oak replacement, but in the end I just did the treads.

Next big task is to do glass tiles in the kitchen, behind the sink and range.

UPS delivered the progressive industries HW50C electric protection from Makarios RV $296.88 with shipping it was $318.65, best price I could find. Even tho it was raining I went out and installed it, took about 1-1/2 hr & had to make a stop at HD for a 3' chunk of #6-3 w/g wire. Another mod in the finished column.

Is anyone ever finished modding there RV. I no sooner finish one mod I think of two more I need to add to my wish list

Getting REAL close. Only taken 2 yrs. Just have to replace the two D rings to secure the heater and printer table after removing the carpet and adding the molding around the floor, replace the TST 507 sensors with the 507 Flo Thu I got today and that finishes mine!

Yes, I cut the carpet off where the new treads rest.

I also changed out the cheaply made 3-Step entry steps for a nice set of 4-step entry steps. Sure is nice on old worn out knees.

Yet another project to come from the RV shows. DW said "we need 4-steps", you know the rest of the story...

I had some free time to wonder around Northern Tool last night until my creative mod juices started flowing. I stumbled across Progrip rope lock tie downs and EUREKA...another mod was born. I needed a simple and quick way to secure our chairs to keep them from sliding around in the storage bay in the FW. Check out the pics. It's pretty self explanatory.

Put micro switches on both doors and forget the 3 way switches. Much cleaner and you don't have to worry about turning them off. When you close the door, the lights go off.

Nice but I have so much gear stored in our basement that nothing "slides"!

Installed new outlets by the master bed with one plug on bottom and two usb on top. Had to get a shallow box to replace those cheap all in one outlets they install.

Started stocking a few things....headed OUT next Wednesday!

OC, I may need that cat-o-nine tails if he's gonna get those poles installed before we leave.

Maybe I'll lock his sticks up for the weekend.
