Do you rent the storage for a specific amount of time and leave it there to get your monies worth or is the storage site closed from X date to X date?
I keep mine at home so I am just asking.

Yes... and no.
Our county gov. runs the fairgrounds here. The 4-H has a covered pavilion at the fairgrounds where they show animals. The pavilion is PACKED with rv's from the end of Oct/first of Nov until we are notified we can pick up our rv's. If a person's rv is accessible, then it can be picked up before the end date, which this year is April 12. Mine is backed right up to one of the steel posts supporting the roof and there are other rv's in front of it. Therefore, I have to wait. It really is a sweet deal - all the money collected for the storage fees goes to the 4-H.
We were on a list to get the TT in for storage. We had our Roo at the house in the driveway for 3 of the 5 years we had it. During our winters, I prefer our TT be stored. Just a matter of preference. For us, we normally don't start camping until May anyway.

Getting ready for our seconded trip, going shopping today for more accessories. This week going to popup camper and rearrange some items, build a bucket light, and a box step. Order brake controller in process of installing 7 way on the jimmy. One problem, the fish are killing it.

Poles installed
Brackets painted yesterday and today I just finished the pole installation.

I added a thin layer of 3m gasket type tape to the back side of the upper brackets. Just in case I want to take them off at some point, then the arms wont be scratched. Thinking it also helps to reduce the twisting back n forth.

I do have a small gap where the bottom bolt hole is on the top bracket. Thinking of picking up another bolt n nut for the bottom hole and just kiss the bracket.

Get the extra 1/4 x 1 ss bolt and ss nyloc nut and bolt the bottom of the bracket solid against the arm. Mark the hole with the pole in the stow position, deploy the awing and drill and install the bolts & nuts.

Platokidd, I noticed your awning is raised up with the poles. I would suggest you lower the poles to the normal position the awning takes when deployed and adjust one pole to that height and the other pole about 6" lower and then tie them down.

Hey thanks OC,
The pics (and I took many)are from working on it today in my driveway. Just going threw the motions checking things out. In that pic Im checking out my pole reach and I have plenty. As you suggested, that is my normal awning position. I need to buy some straps for the tie down.

Spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out the best "recipe" to get all the oxidation off of the rig, and get some sort of shine back.
My rig is a repo unit and spent a lot of time baking in the sun. I will end up wet sanding (3) of the (4) sides and wheeling the whole unit out, then buffing it. (After peeling off all of the decals.)

I finally got the nerve to drill in the side of the camper to mount the center awning support. Took me longer standing on the ladder building the confidence then it did to actually install
Also got the ball level mounted on the pin finally. It wasn't near as nerve racking drilling into that for some reason.

Yesterday I took our Roo out of winter hibernation, and DW and I went through and came up with a 'honey-do' list (adding a shelf, putting dividers up between a few shelves, 12v light over the sink, etc)
Let the season begin!

Brought my 5er home from storage Saturday. Set up and installed my new Tireminder TPMS and booster. Everything went well and I look forward to our first trip. The bicycles were still in the basement after coming home from Florida, so I removed those and remounted the tires and pedals, readjusted the brakes and have them ready for a ride later this week.
