What about the vents with fans in them? All my roof vents are close to 12v lights so it should be pretty easy to wire... I just find air flow is a little low unless running the roof fan on 110v...

I installed a power lift and a 12V battery disconnect on my Surveyor SV235RKS today. This was the first real project. Love the trailer and making it better.
Just woundering, since we have the same unit except year and the diamond package, we have a night stand on the window side of the unit, but a hanging closet on the other side witha drawer under it. I like the drawer you put in that useless raised step on the right side of the bed. What is under that area? Also where did you get the stained or prestained wood? that looks like a great match.....

The curb side of the unit is "my" side so 6 Actual gets the "real" nightstand.
I was pulling out the drawer and loping at it when we were camping this weekend and thought "I wonder..."
I have NO idea what is under the step...my guess is more area in the basement. I will be REAL interested to go on the factory tour and take pictures of what is under the skin of out units
SO I got a piece of oak plywood and a piece of 2x4 and I was golden. I will have it on "Display" at Goshen - ya'll are welcome to come over and scope it out!

The one I installed was the fan with a built in rain shield and it took me a little over an hour to install. I had power at the existing vent so no real wiring to speak of, just figure out if the yellow wire was + or - and hook them up. I'm pleased with how well it works, will likely add one to the bunkhouse when funds allow.
The hardest part was getting the old dicor cleaned off the roof, that took a little longer than I had anticipated but other than that smooth sailing.
The curb side of the unit is "my" side so 6 Actual gets the "real" nightstand.

I thought about mounting corner shelf beside the shirt closet to put my fan on.
But your idea works! I bet my bamboo cutting board would fit well on top of that drawer, and since we have the Hickory stain finish, it'll match close in color too.
That shirt closet is absolutely not needed with our big wardrobe slide. Right now it serves as the dirty clothes closet.

Since someone decided to pull the storage door open (and not take anything (huh)) Installed ILH locks on door and also replaced 1 use fall apart shower sweep seals.
Took the fridge out, there was mildew between the fridge and the wood shelf. Cleaned and sprayed with Lysol to kill the bacteria. The wood under the fridge and beside the pot drawer was smelly as well, treated too. The fridge was on an angle when turned it off and the condesate went the wrong way after out last 2 week trip.
Loaded up the bikes, DW shopped and stocked the pantry and packed clothes. I did the rest of the get ready things to head out in the Morning for Lake Huron.

The DW get the same side and complains about no night stand. Tommorrow before we pull out I and going to cut a piece of plywood for the drawer, need to have somewhere for glasses and kobo etc.

Rather than have to cut the roller shafts off and drill a hole for the cotter pins, I decided to try something a little different on Weezer's rollers. Just drill and tap the stabilizing nut and put a set screw in it. Now, to replace a damaged roller, just cut the shaft off and insert it.
Glenn had to add handles on his because I forgot them, I added flip up handles to Weezer's to gain a fraction of an inch more storage. LOL

You are right about what's under the step - DOH!
I am ALWAYS misplacing my glasses or fitbit when I sleep in the camper thus the "bedside" table idea
As I recall, the "table" board was 12"x18" - assuming our drawers are the same.
You will want to get a 1"x2"x20" to upt under the drawer so you do not bend the drawer roller trac.
For your fan solution, have you considered a "trucker's fan" mounted above your bed (I assume you have a 12V accessory outlet in the bedroom.)

Did you do slide out trays on both sides of the basement? This is ABSOLUTELY #1 on my RV bucket list when we come to visit Neil!

Reminder to all doing my drawer nightstand mod - don't forget the under-drawer brace. without it, I bet 5-7 pounds of constant pressure will warp the drawer roller trac.

Did you do slide out trays on both sides of the basement? This is ABSOLUTELY #1 on my RV bucket list when we come to visit Neil!
Neither Glenn's or Weezer's basements have the same size doors on both sides, so the drawer on theirs will only come out one side. Glenn's on the drivers side and Weezer's on the curb side. Mine will come out both sides.
Don't get your hopes up too high, it is a relatively labor intensive task. You also have to buy a complete garage door track assembly, 6 rollers, 20' of 1-1/2 x 1/8" angle, flip up handles, set screws, sheet of 1/2" primed plywood etc. plus clean out the entire basement, mount and replace everything.
Actually I think I've found a better solution. Here at the S&B I have a beautifully finished wooden Greek Column candle stand/plant stand that is heavy built, 2.5 ft tall, 6" square base and top, that is perfect to sit by the bed and put my little fan on.
I know, it's a weird quirk, but I need a light breeze/air blowing on my face to sleep, even if it's 20* outside. Goes well, I guess, with my *must* to have one foot out from under the covers or I can't breathe!
