I can tell you I don't think the transporters check. Our sabre lost a lug in the 55 miles it took us to get home from the dealership. Our fault guess we should have checked it at pdi. Damn lucky we didn't lose any more or have any damage or vibration from that. Bought a new lug nut, tighten them down. Trailer has been about another 150 miles since. Reading this is a good reminder to make dh re-torque the lug nuts before our trip on Friday.

Suggest you not only check them before the trip, but again after 75-100 miles with a torque wrench set at 110 lb/ft and every 75-100 miles until no nut moves especially if you have aluminum wheels.

Backed into the house today and bent the ladder. I was running late for work and got in a hurry and miss judged the distance between the 5vr and the house. Just added to the wonderful day I was already having, broke camp in the rain and was stuck in traffic in Tulsa for 45 min because if a wreck.

I had my 2008 GMC in the body shop and they removed the rear wheels to work on it. Well three weeks later one of the tires fell off in a Walmart parking lot and rolled 500' into a parked car. OUCH!! The sad part of it was the body shop said the never had the wheel off and tried to poof it off. That didn't fly! Guess who fixed the other car( and it was not me).

CHECK YOUR LUG NUTS AFTER 50 MILES AND AGAIN.

Look on the bright side. You weren't the reason for the backed up traffic.
As for me, today I looked at the cat and mowed the grass around it. And played with my recently installed power leveling jacks. That has to account for something.

Yesterday I ordered a set of Maxxis tires for the RV from Discount Tire. The steel valve stems will be $5 ea. Just waiting for the tpms to get here so I can have the tires mounted and balanced.

I know for a fact the (Transporter) never checked this unit before he was (Leaving the F/R Factory)! The F/R lot boy stopped him and said the (Wheel was on BACKWARDS)!Youroo!!

That is sad quality control in fact that looks like my buddy's Rockwood Roo 21, his floor lifts up anytime it is warm and he doesn't have the AC on, strangest thing

I see you have a forward kitchen Vlite, what is the vent in the pic about a foot or more above the potable water inlet?

The Pic. is NOT our unit,it was a New unit that was leaving the F/R Factory! That unit is a Mid Kitchen unit,not a Front Kit. V-Lite. I was inside the F/R Fac. getting our slide repaired? Took the Pic.of the (Wheel/Tire) out the door. Our V-Lite has that (Vent) at the (Top Rear) Fac told us it was a (Roof Vent)! Have no idea what that side (Vent) is for on that unit! Here is where we were when I took the (Wheel/Tire Pic.

Just went in the camper to check things and discovered the toilet was dry. No good to not have some water in it. Turned water pump on and filled it about half full. That should last for a few weeks. BTW, you also need to put a cup of water in the drains too to keep the P traps full so you don't get sewer smell in the camper. Lucky ours weren't dry.

Haven't had a wheel fall off yet.

If the wheels were removed, even if he had 100,000 miles on it he should re-torque after the wheels have been removed. Then only re-torque the first 75-100 miles until the nuts do not move. Don't mess with them after that. Whenever an alum wheel is loosened, you should go thru the multi step re-torqueing. I never said or implied I checked the torque every day.

That I would agree with, and before every trip, that's all. I thought that is what I said to begin with?
