Began putting all the items back in our fiver we took out for its trip to the factory. I got most of it organized and put away as well as weeded out a couple of items. Now I'm making my shopping list of stock items that need to be replaced in preparation for this weekend's trip. It feels good to know the season is getting started, even if it is going back to the dealer next week for a few more warranty things and to get teacher's bearings repacked (I think after 2 round trips from NC to IN it is probably due for this).

The mail delivered my TPMS (TST TM-507SG) in last night. Time to go install and configure them. Hopefully the weekend of the 25th we can take the 5th wheel out for a quick weekend shake down.

Timex, here you go. I modeled after Old Coot's installation. He was kind enough to describe his mod in a PM week before last. 1" square tubing with tabs welded on ends. Mounted to 1/2" all-thread. Drilled holes through both flanges of the I-beam on trailer and mounted with nyloc nuts top and bottom of beam. Used pocket hole jig to put tabs on 3/4" treated wood for the top. Ran the all-thread up until everything was wedged against the frame, then tightened the nuts down on the beam.
Best,
WA

Noticed you have a "park model" and wondered if it is setup somewhere or you tow it about.

Appreciate the pics and description.

Let me ask, why use the wood on top instead of another set of brackets?

I'm trying to figure out how I want to do my mod by gaining knowledge from other's mods.

I used rubber on the bottom steel tubes to keep from chaffing the PVC and wood on the top for the same reason where it would have touched the I beam on the frame.

What Mr. Coot said. Instead of rubber, I used left over drawer liner from my tool box on the tubes.

So the wood and the rubber protects the PVC from chafing?

Finally got my spare tire from dealer (was part of my deal but for some reason took 6 weeks to get), so I installed it as well as my oxygenics shower head. Also got my step rugs in the mail today, so will install them probably after I take it somewhere ???

Many thanks to wellsw and OC and several others on the ideas of the sewer hose storage.

I apologize for injecting humor into my previous posts (about the Gold Bond Powder). When I saw the word "chafing" I didn't necessarily associate that with plastic and metal rubbing together. If I offended anyone, I'm sorry.

I think I have an idea about what I want to do. I'll post pics when I git'er dun.

Yesterday I towed my trailer to Stonewall, Texas for two weeks of touring the Texas Hill Country. Wild flowers are blooming.
