Pulled out the cheap single speed non-reversible noisy exhaust fan over our bed and installed a Fantastic fan with weather cover. BIG difference!
This is a new trailer and the cheapie fan had been well and neatly caulked to
the roof so I hated to mess with it but I'm confident the new one also won't
leak and it's SO much quieter.
When we boondock we often use the fan on low blowing down on us.

No power for a radius of over 30 miles in any direction. Roads were blocked with trees and water flooded over them which left no way out. So we made coffee, made breakfast, and watched TV all day in the RV. We do keep a 1/2 tank of water in the RV just in case so that also paid off. All and all it made things very very easy for us to weather out this small disaster and that evening the power was restored to the house. Love our new solar set up. We laughed and said, glad we are truly self contained in the RV with SOLAR.
The new solar system is coming in handy in more than just boondocking for pleasure.

How much can you really run off that, I bought a new Roo 23IKSS hybrid that has the connection to hookup a solar panel but not as big as yours. I am thinking of adding another Deep Cycle to the Roo as a Backup

Its nice when power goes out to have an alternate form of power. Going to update and get a new inverter generator for our house and trailer this summer. Went once 15 days without any power during one of or ice storms, not fun.

We are able to run 42" TV, Blue Ray DVD player, Surround sound system,
Stereo, Microwave, 12 cup MR.Coffee Maker, water pump, circulating fans. We run everything except the 2 A/C units. You would need to know how big your pre-wiring is for the solar to know how much solar you could add. I designed and installed all of our system. 520 watt solar array, 435AH AGM 12volt Battery bank, 60amp MPPT charge controller, 2000 watt Cotek true sine wave inverter. You want enough solar array to be able to fully re-charge your battery bank after use the next day so when night comes you are good to go to use power all night.

I'm hoping they will keep the trailer from bouncing so much and the DW will forgive me for spending so much on them when she doesn't get woke up every time someone goes to the bathroom. I'm sure she would love it if I could get the steps more stable too. So far everything I've tried doesn't work real well.

Jacks right in front of the axle helps a lot as does an adjustable support on the step.

I purchased on of the CAMCO 43671 Sel-stor step supports and it didn't seem to help much. It was bent when I received it and wouldn't stay stored in the bracket so I returned it. Do you think it would help to install another set of stabilizing scissor jacks in front of the front axle?

Thanks, that looks like the one I tried. I couldn't get it to work very well and my steps there is only about 8"-10" of clearance between the lower step and the ground so it wasn't easy to adjust either. I'm hoping that most of the bounce I was feeling in the step will disappear after I install the new SteadyFast stabilizers.

If I were to do it again, I would get 2 support brackets and put them on the corners of the step instead of just in the middle. I may still do this in the future.

Good idea! That might be worth a try.

Sure helped on mine, I modified a set of rear electric jacks and mounted them on the 2 x 4 steel tube running across the frame.

I was very interested in trying the jacks near the axle, but was reluctant to spend the money without seeing what the results would be first. I realized a few weeks ago that between our truck and the wife's car, I had enough jacks to test this without spending a dime. Tried it on our last trip, and proper jacks are now on my shopping list. I will likely bolt a pair of manual scissor jacks up as I am too cheap to splurge for electric.

Had I not gotten lucky with trading jacks with Herk and then trading again with Lippert techs in Goshen (thanks to youroo), I would not have the electric jacks either. I have some labor and the price of a dpdt switch invested in them.

No luck with the steps either. My 15 year old son bent ours last year bouncing on them, could've hurt him for that. I've tried supports with no luck.

Double check all of your locations prior to drilling and mounting. Mr. Hanson was great at answering questions, even called me on a Sunday to see how the install was going.

The power I found for the RV fridge interior fan is always on, so I modified the plastic fan frame for a switch.
Dremel tool made the work easy.

Also, previously I made a baffle to make sure the air from my outside fans went through the condensor fins, not around them.

Added another baffle today above the first one to direct the air out the slide vent and prevent any dead air at the top.
