Yesterday I dropped about 1/3rd of the corplast. I cut it the width of the trailer behind the rear wheels. Couldn't see or hear anything wrong that would be causing such a loud screeching when the last half on the slide is going out or when the slide starts back in. I had DW operate the slide while I was under there, could not see anything binding or rubbing. The slide ram has good clearance through the frame, all mounting bolts of the slide motor and actuator were tight and did not have any marks on them to indicate movement.

Today I'll get a piece of furring strip from HD to fit between the frame. Replace the corplast I took down and screw the seam of the corplast to the furring strip. From what I can tell the screeching may be caused by the underside of the slide rubbing on something that up to now I can't see. There are no marks or scratches on the underside so I'm unsure of my next step. DW said we can live with it but it bothers the heck out of me.

Could be a "high" staple in the plastic wear blocks located inside under the rug overhang of the slide.

Will try to get photos of mine today.

While out there I replaced the Olyvia TV with a 32 inch LG Smart TV (JUST fit) and hooked it into the Genesis 3.0 with fiber optic sound and a new high speed HDMI cable. Have plans on using a Sandisk Wireless Flash Drive to spool movies if I can figure out how to use my Surface as a front end.

It works GREAT with an iPad but I wanted something I can use while the DW watches her Phillies on the iPad with her MLB App.

I also hung an Indian arrow we got at Four Points over the door. It is supposed to protect the home from harm befalling it.

On our last trip, we noticed Rocky seemed to move a bit whenever one of us was walking around, even though I had the stabilizers down and had them down tight.

I was outside bbq'ing and the wife was walking around and I noticed the two tires would move back and forth just a little bit, but enough to be too much.

So just ordered a pair of these...supposed to fix that!

Do a search on Youtube...I found mine (EEZTire TPMS) and a couple of complete walk-throughs on setting it up.

Jacks in front of the axles will help also.

Did you get it figured out? Do you have the TST system or some other brand?

I'm going to build a desk today!

Well first, I am going to deliver a bunch of furniture to a young couple who are living near here (sofa, love seat, chaise, dining room table, chairs, and a dresser). He's stationed here and she just moved here from Michigan or Wisconsin or somewhere. They've been renting furniture. So our old furniture will be good for them. Saves them so money and gets it out of my house- it's a win, win!

Headlights

I’m all about lighting. After driving my Forester on an E-450 Chassis at night, I looked into options to improve the headlights. The existing headlight bulbs were just OK at best, I replaced the bulbs with Sylvania Silver Star Ultra’s and while an improvement, was not overly impressed. I investigated further options and stumbled on these YouTube Videos.

I purchased a set and installed them yesterday. I also made sure they were aimed properly. It was a very easy install.

I waited until dark turned the headlights on and went for a ride. All I can say is WOW, what a difference. Nice and crisp light and plenty of it. I purposely drove on some highways and urban roads for an hour and not once was flashed for bright lights.

I bought them on ebay and although pricey, they were half again more than the UltraStars. They are supposed to last some 40 to 50,000 hours which is a great deal more the Sylvania’s as well.

Time will tell and will wait for “bad” weather for the next test. So far though,

Got the corplast put backup under the RV, what a job. In the 90's, too dang hot to work this hard. Didn't see any obvious wear blocks, may be under the carpet, so hot in the unit. Going to take my gen set out there to power one of the A/C units. I'll did deeper into it when I can cool things down a bit. So dang frustrating. Thanks for the photos, at least I know what I'm looking for.

They work!!! I've had 2 sets, 1 X-TENDED set for our old Lacrosse wide axle and 1 regular set for our Sanibel because I liked them so much.

Dog house insulation

Insulated the dog house on the a/c and testing it out this weekend. So far we have a 10-degree differential (86 F. outside). Tomorrow will be a better test yet . . .

Did you install the LED bulbs in the stock halogen light housings? I wonder if the brighter light will cause a lot of glare for oncoming drivers. I had that problem when I tried HID bulbs in the stock headlight housings on my F-150 and ended up retrofitting HID projectors. It made a HUGE difference in the light and with the great cutoff on the projectors they don't create glare for oncoming drivers.

Have your DW or a buddy drive the opposite way on a dark road to make sure. If you get other drivers flashing their high beams at you, you know its a problem.
