You have to have the slide all the way out and then pick up the carpet edge. The slide sits in a trough behind it. When it raises to come in is when it makes contact over it. I had to countersink the screw heads in it to lower them so they would quit tearing up my under floor.

Finishing up doggie jail......adding removeable gate/door at top of stairs to bedroom so if/when we have company, people that don't like being mauled, won't be. Took tv to freinds truck wash today to get the most porous alum wheels I've ever had, acid cleaned....no brake dust any more and better than new......Monday, I'll start on the paint,if Krylon has the right color...Purple.

You are missing them, I also noticed were your slide is wearing your carpet shows an impression. That should not be it should be about 1/2" above it. You can also add glide strips to save your carpet. They work really well, for the carpet protection.

I should have and need to have a look under the opposite slide, no carpet impressions on that side that I recall. I really appreciate guys like gljurczyk and Herk7769 you all give good direction and help. Not to forget OC, so much knowledge from all. Thank you

Just got back from the storage lot. I let out the slide that the sofa, fridg and stove sit on and as in the picture Herk7769 posted the wear blocks are screwed to the floor on that slide. No carpet on that side as most of the floor is the simulated wood vinyl, no marks on the vinyl. Now to find a place to order those blocks from or maybe just cut some out of DW's kitchen cutting board, looks like the same stuff. I can't believe they didn't put those blocks on the dinette slide. (oh yes I can).

I installed my "D & D" awning hold down kit and my DIY elec. conduit poles. I finished the operation about 45 minutes before a minor hail/thunderstorm event. Flawless!

I sent an e-mail to Kevin Myers at FR along with pictures asking to have FR send me the ware blocks. I'll post if I hear back from FR. Not knowing if I will get them from FR I'll make my own. DW's old cutting board is made out of polypropylene. I'll cut a couple of pieces of it and make my own ware blocks. Ive got some shim stock that I can put under it should it need to be a bit thicker. I'll post pictures when I get it done.

The big problem with them are that the factory never countersinks the screw heads, so advice is to countersink them so they will not tear your stips up under the slide. If you need I can send you the height they use. You need 3. the two ends and one in the middle. They need to be about 4" long....

The material I have is 3/8", not sure if it would be too much or not enough. Would be nice to know the thickness of the factory strips. I'll let out the kitchen slide and check the thickness of those.
