Arrow Whats the difference between these trailers? Help!

I have been going back and forth between 2 trailers and I need some help and advice. They both have the same layout, features and options but have a difference in cost of $2000. I was wondering if one is made better than the other and what justifies the cost difference. I would love to hear from any of you that have owned these brands.

1. 2016 Gray Wolf 26DBH - $18,999
2. 2016 Salem Crusise lite 263BHXL - $16,999

I put a deposit down on the Gray Wolf out of impulse and now I'm wondering if I should save $2k and go with the Salem.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Look close at how cabinets are built. Sometimes you can tell from that. Some cabinets have luan for sides and some are full cabinets. Also if they are similar in floor plans look at dry weight. If one is more heavier they may have heftier materials. I have a grey wolf 22rr I like the camper very much. I looked at all aspects. The weight my f150 could tow and the floor plan I wanted. If both have similar materials then you can flip a coin. You really have to look at the guts. How the under storage is built. Tap on cabinets to hear how they sound. Fixtures. Sometimes with just a 2000 dollar difference dealer got a better deal on the model. Short answer I don't think either one is a higher quality camper. Both are FR products.

both should be very comparable. Both "entry level" type units with lightweight construction.

Friends of ours have a Salem; we have a Grey Wolf...

We prefer ours.

The lack of carpet in the Wolf makes keeping the floors clean a breeze; fit and finish is very close between them.

2 k, on a 20k purchase, really isn't a deal breaker one way or the other... All things being equal, pick the one you like; but based on our experience, the Wolf was a better choice for us.

X2. I hate carpets and that is what we looked for in our new one. I ripped out the carpet in our old fleet wood when we had it and installed vinyl plank flooring.

We choose the Grey Wolf but I couldn't help wonder why there was a 2k price difference for pretty much the same trailer.

Dealer overhead? Volume discounts from FR? Promotions? Different PDI/admin fee structure?

Really no way to know - maybe you can use the price on the Salem to further negotiate on the Grey Wolf?
