Wildwood vs Salem

I need a bigger RV. I have a wildwood and have been looking at a bigger Wildwood model, but saw an ad at a competitive RV store for a Salem and a slightly cheaper price. From what I can tell they models are exactly the same ..is there a difference ? Or is this just marketing somantics??

It's just marketing, so that dealers near each other can sell like units without infringing on each others brands.

We looked at both when searching for ours and they are identical except for some furniture colors.

That’s what I figured. I wasn’t sure if one had a better quality in some area.

My local dealer had a heritage glen I wanted but I found a hemisphere for $6000 less 5 hours a away. Local dealer wouldn’t budge on price. So I got the Hemisphere. They are basically identical except the stickers on the outside.

You're right, they're all the same built by the same guy's with the soup bowl haircuts and blue jean overalls.

If you are sure they are optioned exactly the same, use one to negotiate against the other. If you aren't mechanically inclined, buy at the dealership with the best service reputation.
