Yellowing Doors

Hi all. New to forum as I have just purchased an 03 Cardinal. It is in great shape except for all the exterior storage doors have turned yellow. They appear to be made of the same fiberglass as the siding and it is nicely white. Is this a common problem and has anyone found something good to turn them back white? It has happened to every single door. I have tried Totally Awesome cleaner, softscrub, detergent, and peroxide. Nothing worked. Any suggestions? I was suprised to read here that Cardinals received bad reviews. I was always under the assumption that they were top of the line. What gives? Thanks for any and all advice.

The window frame in my last trailer's entry door
did this. It started out almond or some sort of cream white
and within 4 years was very yellow.
I have an electric dryer in my home that gets zero sunlight
and one of the control knobs has turned yellow while the other
is still nice and white.
It's plastic.
It happens.
I seriously doubt if you can "clean it off".

If you really want it to go away then I suggest a high quality paint
that matches the color of your siding.
Skuff the doors with a scotch brite pad and pant them.

You might find some good spray paint like Krylon that will match.
If not then you can get Rustoleum brand oil base enamel mixed
at many paint or hardware stores to match any shade you desire.
I believe Home Depot or Lowes (I forget which) will mix Rustoleum.

Welcome to the forum!!!

I had the same problem with yellowing doors and (entry door) window frames on my Keystone trailer. Dealer said there was nothing they could do. It was the sun causing the yellowing.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser whitened up the plastic window frames a little.

Thanks for the responses. Totally Awesome did help the yellowing on the plastic around the window frames. The doors on the other hand are not plastic but fiberglass just like the side of the 5er I believe. May not be anything that can be done but to repaint. They all have striping across them so it will be a job. Can one get replacement pin-striping to match original from FR? Thanks again for your help and Happy 4th all.
