Not quite the same, but that's about what I paid for a new Trojan deep cycle for the trailer a couple of weeks ago.....in Canadian.
Hope those are some nice batteries you're getting for that dollar.

Doug, at least you did not have to do what I did when I replaced them in my Ford, it needed a alternator replaced also.

I had to install two batteries on my Silverado, the service department told me one was bad and the other one was weak. So two new batteries, it wasn't cheap

I just did the same thing for my 2007 Duramax 2500hd. I only use AGM batteries which start at about $200 a piece. Ouch..... But they sure work well and last as long as they are advertised for...... So far😀

LOL! Annual passes make all of the difference- we will just go for a couple hours. If the heat gets too bad, we'll bail. In both cases, the AP helps us not feel like we "wasted" a ticketed day.

When I was a kid we used to always go early then take a lunch/nap break during the worst heat and come back late afternoon and stay till they chased us out!
And we lived in South FL but that Orlando heat can be NAAAASTAY!

My family was 1 of 3 families who were written about in a Baltimore, MD newspaper article for this week's paper about "Families ditch traditional homes, make road trips a way of life":

Other than calling your 5th wheel a trailer (yes, I know it technically is...) it's a great article.

I haven't posted on this thread in quite a long time. I ran out of time for blogging, but I thought I'd post a 2017 Year in Review for us. Here's what the past year looked like:
Now Or Never - an RV Tale: 2017 In Review
Hope you enjoy it! (Caution: it's really, really long! but has a lot of pictures. )

Man, it's funny to look back at this thread title and think we were supposed to just go for a year.
On June 19th, we just crossed our 3rd anniversary on the road. It also just so happened to be 3 days before our yardsale to sell almost everything we kept in storage. It helped me shrink a rather large storage bill to something decently affordable (though, ask me again in 3 years if it was worth it!).
We just spent 1 month back in our hometown to take care of selling everything off via online sales and a huge 2-day yard sale.
I wrote about it on the blog:
Now Or Never - an RV Tale: A Yardsale of Everything
