1966 VS 2005 Econoline

Hi, am on my first motorhome trip and was reflecting on the past a little and grinning lots. First car was a 1966 Econoline no window van that I customized. Also customized a 1974 later which I drove cross country more than a few times. Both were 6cyl 3 on the tree. Driving my new to me 2005 Econoline 450 based RV is darn nice too. Glad to be out on the roads again. Call me smiley!

Was that the "cab-forward," with the six-cylinder engine between the seats?

When I was ten, my dad bought the passenger model, with two removable bench seats and windows all around. I thought it was the coolest thing ever! That engine cover was *so* nice to ride on during those Minnesota winters.

Obviously wouldn't happen today, too many loony drivers. Sigh.
