Adding a hitch to TV

I posted yesterday regarding a hitch receiver. Now I wondering if anyone has mounted a hitch receiver to the front of the TV and mounted a 180lbs trail bike? I have a Dodge 3500 4X4. Just wondering how safe it is?

You see hitches all the time here in Idaho on the front, most use them for the ease of moving trailers around or launching a boat without backing. I have seen some heavy motorcycles carried on the front. I hate auto spell check!

Yep, lived across the street from one ol'boy that had it mounted on the right side of his Dodge so he could see down the side of his TT, he could push it right where he wanted it without help from his wife.

I put one on my Ram about 6 months ago, its very easy and works great. Check with e-trailer and watch their video on how to install the unit... It really is very easy.


No welding just 4 bolts.

There are several bolt on front end receivers in the market and also full replacement bumpers with receivers incorporated. It's just a matter of choice. Just be careful if your using a weight distributing hitch not to overload your front axles.
