Any specific locations/itenerary? Ky has one of, if not the best, state park systems in the USA.

We like Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee. There is a lot of hiking, biking, and swimming available, but it might be getting too cool for swimming. George Hole and the Cascades waterfall are great for swimming!

We also camped in Kentucky at the My Old Kentucky Home State Park. We enjoyed the area, but the sites are a bit small if you have a larger TT or RV. They did have some grass camping, but I am not sure if they were only for tents. We also stayed at Boonesborough State Park and found the sites to be level and decent. We camped in a pop up two years ago that we had rented, but we now have a 30 ft. TT.

Laurel Lake Resort & Campground (privately owned) off I-75, exit 25, Corbin KY. Full hook ups. Fishing and hiking on site. Might be along your way. Our home CG, so to speak; we boat on nearby Laurel Lake. Also Grove Campground (near the lake) and Holly Bay Campground (on the lake).
Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington is large and nice.

KY Horse Park between Georgetown & Lexington. Levi Jackson near London Ky & Sheltowee Trace (private) near Cumberland Falls. Also Green River St Pk. For a high end private campground we like Anchor Down in Dandridge,Tn on Douglas Lake. Also like Pine Mtn RV in Pigeon Forge.
