Good for finding campgrounds nearby. Has links to campgroundreviews.com and tripadvisor.com. You can filter by what type of campground you want - public, private, truck stops, Wal-Marts, etc.
Walmart has camp grounds now ?

More apps:

Bubble level | for parking

Flashlight | for late night foraging

AAA | if you belong load the app

Checklist | There are a bunch of these make a list apps. The best allow you to make a list that you can check off over and over. Great for packing!

Sanidumps | One of several apps to help you locate dump stations

I love to use google maps as a GPS. It is not quite as good as my magellan, but the traffic feature is much better (in town) There is no way to keep the screen turning off on my android, but installed something called Caffeine, which keeps it on as long as I want.

I really like iExit! It's only good on interstates. If you are on a state road it doesn't help much. But it lists EVERYTHING at the exit and you can filter what you want to see.

The reason I’m using the app Big Truck Stops is because it shows all the major stops, Flying J, Travel America, Petro, Pilot, and Loves.

I have Android so I know it is there. Not sure if there is a similar iPhone app.

Hi everyone! New 2013 Tracer 3200BHT owner here... pick it up this SATURDAY... can't wait!!! We are upgrading from a 2004 Outback 21RS...
I saw this thread and said, hmmm, I feel like sharing...
So, what i use... IPhone apps..

CoPilot GPS - RV mode.. put in your height and it stops you from going on roads with low bridges, etc.
RVCompanion - Leveler is awesome.. gives you height in inches for left/right and lower/raise tongue. Has logging, RV information, like VIN.. etc..
RoadAhead or iExit - know what's coming up ahead of you on the highway...
SKyView Free... for the kids... stars, planets, satellites...etc..
VA PocketRanger - Virginia St Parks...
and last but not least, FRForum app!!

Happy Trails y'all!

The level that a few guys mentioned is really cool. The one I use will look like a standard level if you hold the phone on its edge, and when when you put the phone down on its back, it becomes a 360-degree level.

Also, we found an altimeter app, which is very cool in the mountains if you have a partner who can watch the numbers change while you pay attention to driving.

Both of these are android apps.
