We got all the way to the dealer (90 miles away) for warranty work and discovered we'd left the 5er keys at home. No problem, it was unlocked so the dealer just used the upper lock/dead bolt for locking while they had it.
Now we keep two *complete* sets of keys....tripod lock/hitch lock/surge protector lock (all keyed alike) included.
One set is on a special key chain that Sneak normally has clipped to his belt loop while camping (notice I said normally
the other set is on MY personal, *everything* keychain, which I *never*
leave home without. (I'm phobic about being locked out of the house, been known to have my keys on me just to go to the mailbox...no kidding.)
I've never forgotten a food item, since the last thing I do on the day of leaving is go to the grocery store, then unload everything in to a wire cart and take it straight to the 5er. We keep bottled water stocked in it, especially since we use that for our counter top ice maker and brushing our teeth, etc. When we're low, I remember to buy more by sticking an empty water bottle in my purse.
(I mash it flat and put the lid on so it stays small-er)
