Back from a week in the mountains

We just got back from a week in the mountains camping and quading and thought I would post a few pics. These pics don't do justuce to the scenery
Pic #1 is our campsite at the base of Crowsnest Mountain. It is random camping and free. We were there with some friends, thats their cargo trailer for hauling their quads
Pic #2 is at the base of a mined out mountain. They mined coal here in the early 1900's and this is a settlling pond. We are about to go up that mountain on our ATV's
Pic #3 is on the other side of the mountain about 1/2 way up. It is a drilling rig. This rig is over 300 ft tall and a VERY large piece of iron, just to give you an idea of the altitude and distance. Yes, that is snow in those pics. Temps were around freezing.
Pic# 4 is a close up @ 18X zoom

Pic #5 This picture is from the top of the mountain looking back down on the settling pond we were sitting at in post #1. We are at about 7200 ft here. You can see the scar from mining operations on both sides of the pond.
Pic # 6 is looking down at some of the trail we took up the mountain
Pic # 7 and # 8 are just some other shots we took. We put about 50 miles on our bikes in 7.5 hrs riding that day. Enjoy the pics.
Cheers
Bear

We were doing some up grades and we had a problem. We lost a bunch of pictures. I call it growing pains. Here are the pics again.
