About 25 miles sw of Houston bordered by Brazos river, Nice State Park, lots of well maintained walking trails, shore fishing on several old horseshoe lakes. Biggest attraction is lots of gators, saw some good ones, as well as did lots of bird watching. Camp was not busy while we were there, not too humid or hot, and the camp and trails are clean, shower was lukewarm, but failry clean. Lots of shade on the large camp sites. Nice park with a small nature center maintained by volunteers.
Took a day trip to Galvaston Island State Park, and Sea Rim Nature Center,
Sea Rim Has some excellent aquariums and displays, GI State Park is great for beach, gonna camp there one of these days.
My take on all ...
