Burning man festival

The burning man festival is starting in northern Nv on the 27th. The location of the festival is desert conditions. Has anyone ever attended this event with their RV and conditions they encountered?

We are not "burners" but we are very close friends with people who are habitual about TTITD ...

DUST. Dust will get in EVERYTHING.

If it is YOUR RV and you like it, don't take it to Burning Man.

The people who RV that event ... RENT them for the event.

Crazy Stuff.

PLAYA DUST WILL GET IN EVERYTHING.

Everything you could ever want to know ... https://burningman.org/

Just a party place for some of us 60's hippies that missed Woodstock, without the cool bands. Trying to recreate something that can't be recreated.

Went once, interesting but disappointing and would not go again.

The whole "Burning" scene is supposed to include high degrees of self-sufficiency, participatory art, and a sort of stone-soup recipe on contributing to the scene.

This year, some very, VERY motivated people have even gone to the trouble of converting some portion of a 747 aircraft fuselage into a boardable art exhibit.

A couple years back our burner friend was very happy to score the two horizontal mount propane tanks from our decommed TC. Guess the "bleed" fittings make them valuable for his purposes ... he has this contraption that creates rather large and loud bursts of controlled flame.

The people who have been doing it for "a while" aren't so happy with the event becoming a "rich kids playground" and the larger organization is trying to re-invent themselves, and discovering the force of inertia. (And don't all us RV'ers have EVERYTHING to look forward to as this new wave of incoming campers saturates ... everything everywhere.)

Tickets to Burning Man are harder than Hen's Teeth to come by ... if someone waves one in front of you, just sayin' ...

Oh yeah ... PLAYA DUST WILL GET INTO EVERYTHING !!!

Well, it is and it isn't. California ya know, all kinds there. A lot of partying (read booze/drugs) but it's more than that. Plenty of "adult" entertainment if you"re into that. But there are craftsmen/women, artists, musicians, retired folks, young folks. Definitely would not take kids there though, just IMO.

Interesting newspaper article from the Reno Gazette-Journal from 2013 with statistics on the makeup of the "burners". I didn't know what a big business it was - revenue in excess of $20 million in 2013.

12 stats you didn't know about your average Burner

You hit the nail right on the head. But you forgot to add the ridiculous prices they charge for a ticket.
