Campground and Travel Guide

I bought a copy of the new 2013 Good Sam RV Travel Guide. FYI, Woodallís and Trailer Life campground directories are now combined into this new Travel Guide.
It looks like the best features of both directories have been incorporated it into this one, very large directory. The darn thing contains almost 2000 pages. I highly recommend this directory to anyone who travels with their RV. I think Camping World has the directory on sale right now.

I think this should be moved to the Product Review (positive) no?

I don't know that I would call this a review. More like an FYI and advice for those who travel the country. I will probably post an actual review of this new guide when I have a chance to explore it more.

I agree with FYI. I back-ordered mine (2013) last September. I just got it in the mail a couple weeks ago while I was on a trip. Haven't had a chance to look inside much, other than to observe it's combined.

Would not put reviews in this thread. Nice FYI or heads-up now that it's available.

Thanks for answering the question. This was more an FYI than review.

I have posted a review of the new Good Sam Directory in the Product Reviews section. Keep in mind that I haven't had the opportunity to use it on the road yet.

I found that Trailer Life / Woodalls / Good Sam directory does not list several South Carolina state parks and several cities that are in bold font on the SC map actually have no campground listed. I didn't look at any other states, but if you prefer state parks like I do, check other sources when you are looking for one in an unfamiliar area.

I submitted comments to the e-mail listed in the directory, but received no acknowledgement that they received it.

Donít you hate it when you take the time to send comments or suggestions to a company or organization and they donít even bother to acknowledge you? Iíve had that happen to me with Rand McNally and Delorme. At the very least they should reply to email with an automated response acknowledging receipt of your comments.

I hope I didnít give the impression that the new Good Sam Travel Guide and Campground Directory was a do-all, end-all campground guide. Itís not and such a guide doesnít exist. It is however an outstanding resource for finding RV parks and campgrounds while on the road.

The FR guide I rec'd w my TT is really good. Sure, it misses some stuff but overall it has great North American coverage.
