Mobile is very near Pensacola, FL. So, after you visit the USS Alabama and its museum, take the short drive to the fabulous National Naval Aviation Museum at Pensacola Naval Air Station, one of the best air and space museums in the US.

A very convenient campground near there is Big Lagoon State Park. Electric and water sites were $25/night when we were there in February.

RV Sites, Campground, Campsites in Carrabelle Florida | Carrabelle Beach
The RV Resort is nice. fairly large sites, a nice pool, and the staff is really nice and helpful. Carrabelle itself is also a quaint little fishing town with some really good restaurants and bars. There is a lighthouse three blocks away and an Army museum right next door. The beach...well, not so great. It is on the sound. It is small, the seaweed pretty much comes up to the shore, lots of sand spurs, However, it has a nice view, some picnic areas, and it is right across the street from the resort. be careful crossing 98 as it can get pretty busy.

If you really want a nice beach, drive the 30 minutes to St George Island. Be aware that St George Island is still cleaning up from Hurricane Michael, though, so lots of things may still be closed.
