Canadian Campground to AVOID

DW and I checked in here on Sunday afternoon 8/10, not expecting a whole lot, but being Sunday everythihng looked acceptable. Come Monday night that sll changed as the tennants, who wre evidently long timers came home. You could tell by there campsite they did not really care about what they had. We stayed over night until Tuesday to take care of some issues at hand. Last night thee party started about 7:30pm, by 11:00 pm I had gone out four times to asked these gentlemen to please hold it down. Of course they did not...We are leaving this morning, thank goodness, jsut Avoid this place if you are ever in Whitecourt, Alberta Canada. The CAMP-IN-TOWN RV Park.

Saw a T-shirt once that read........

"You can't fix trailer trash"

Sorry your stay was ruined, but I think we've all met this kind of situation and even asking nicely doesn't change things. Sometimes the management can address the issue with the offenders, but if you're like us, you'll be uneasy staying in close proximity after "they've been told".

Make sure you put reviews on RV Park Reviews and Yelp.com.

Thank you for your feedback

Dear LKicklight,

I just wanted to formerly apologize for your recent experience at our campground. Unfortunately, occasionally some campers don't abide by the rules and regulations of the park. We are truly sorry that you have had such an experience at Camp-In-Town.

I did refund you for one night stay due to your experience, and if this doesn't satisfy you, I welcome you to give us a call at 780-706-5050 so we can further reconcile.

Thank you again for choosing Camp-In-Town, and hopefully if you choose to stay with us again we can make your experience substantially more enjoyable

I have included some photos to show you our grounds. We are a very welcoming campground and we take pride in our facility. We look forward to hopefully having you stay here with us in the future if you come our way.

Thanks!

Most times that I have had a bad experience it has been caused by other campers and not by the CG or staff. Although some GGs do attract different types of crowds.

We had a similar experience here in NY. We had a family with a tt and a tent set up next to us. They pitched their tent on our site right in front of our large window. When I nicely asked them to move it they got pissy and frankly told me that I did not own the campground. I then quietly asked them if it was ok to park my truck with the exhaust squarely against their door opening and run it at 3AM. They moved it!!!

Judging by the shape of the picnic table and fire pit...it looks rundown....I wouldn't place it high on my list...you shoulda taken pics of restroom and shower rooms...that tells alot!!! And yes make sure you leave reviews for others who dont use this site....reviews is what works best for most looking for a place to stay.
