I believe they have a personal chat app, like GroupMe, that they have been using. That’s why all the chatter stopped on this thread.

You are correct, RV Chick. That's exactly why there is nothing here.

Yes campinggator.... as an original participant of the group (I had to withdraw due to health issues), there are several couples posting on Facebook. Including Bob Williams, our wagonmaster. Lots of great photos already posted... I'm sure Bob will share some when they return to the lower 48.

Well they let us think they were taking this journey, and including us, here, in the adventure.
I guess there was some reason Bob decided to stop sharing.
Sad, cause there were a lot of us following this.

The "caravan" was originally called "Frog to Alaska". Obviously when there is a group of 20+ rigs traveling together there has to be group campground reservations made...which means deposits to the campgrounds. It was a much more reliable procedure for one person (the WagonMaster) to make those reservations and deposits. Imagine the confusion that could result if each rig had to make its own arrangements.

Now, since one person is making the reservations and deposits it was necessary for the "caravan" to collect deposits from each rig. That's where the problem came up. FROG withdrew all support for the trip because it's against their policies to require up front money for events...other than events hosted by FROG such as the Goshen rally.

Since the caravan was no longer associated with the FROG name they ceased putting information out on the forum. And, because of no FROG association the trip was no longer restricted to Forest River RVs.

I thought that just because we weren’t all going ( only twenty could go) Bama Bob would have posted pictures and places they were seeing. Oh well next year when a few more take the trip maybe we can see more pictures. I’ll show DW how to post on here and post pictures. It was a great trip for us, well for me mostly. DW wouldn’t get off the front porch if it was left up to her, I guess it’s the Indian in me but I like to see new places and what’s around the next curve

As you can see I,m not the only person that does not do face book. It's a shame that they choose not to share on the forum and yep Bamabob is not a happy camper with his rig. Later RJD

Maybe the Alaska Caravan group is having such a great time and are so busy they don't have time to post here.

I'm not sure their focus should be on blogging and posting, but that's just me.

Even if you love Facebook, those posts are most likely shared with the group of folks that went on the trip, so its private and not public. Which means you won’t see them anyways.
May as well put this thread to rest, as we’ll never know how the trip turned ou.
