Yes, we are interested! Well, me more so then my wife! We both retired in 2012, and I have been talking about this for the past two years. May have to get a better tow vehicle before attempting the journey, but we were looking for someone to accompany us on this trip. Keep us all informed. I'm also USAF Vietnam veteran.....Phan Rang, 69-70.
Look forward to more info and ideas....we got our TT last year, so we haven't camped too much. (Heritage Glen 282RK)

We'll be retired in 2018 and would love to join all of you. I've heard that March and April months are still very cold and can be very wet. May/June would be a better choice. Please keep me in the loop.

We might be interested as well. We would be from the Ft. Worth area.

We've done the trip twice. In 1999 pulling a 3 axle Cardinal 5th wheel with a Dodge Dually Cummins from St. Louis, and again in 2011 pulling 2 axle Montana 5th wheel with a GMC 2500 SWB Duramax from home in Louisiana. On last trip, broke front nose beam under the Montana pin box. Absolutely NO HELP from Keystone. Took a week and $5k in Whitehorse to tear down the front end and replace the pin box beam.
My take is that it is a WONDERFUL trip. My preference is Northern British Columbia and the Yukon over Alaska. Alaska is becoming a tourist enterprise. On the other hand, there's less traffic on the Alcan than in past years due to heavy inside passage use, and the trip through Canada tends to be more authentic, untouched wilderness than Alaska. You'll find more RV accommodations than hotels, and big rigs no problem. Diesel available at almost every fueling stop. Be sure to purchase a Canadian throw away phone when going into the North Canada area as the little cell service that exists is not compatible with US phones.
Currently we are restricted by mother-in-law heath conditions or would be doing it again. Wish we could commit. Enjoy.

Count us in as a "definite maybe". We would be coming in from Oklahoma.

Tim n Linda

My husband and I took the Alaskan cruise and said "Never again" We have been tossing around the idea of going to Alaska but thought about only 3 months. (Hoping that will be enough time) We've both retired early (he 52 and I 57) and we're waiting on a call that our 2016 FR 8281 WS is ready to pick up. Of course from the time we get it till it's time to put it away, we'll be doing mostly closer trips. Off to the wild wild West next Summer with the grandkids!!
Hope you have a great turnout for your Alaskan trip...I believe you'll all love it!!

Alaska! Oh, yeah!

Haven't spoken to the DH yet, but it sounds like something we'd be up for. Just don't know if I can wait 3 years!

So how about a caravan to Hawaii so we can get that "50th State" sticker for the camper?

Been planning that trip for years but the hold up has been air and fuel stops...
