Colorado E470 Toll Road Ouch

I took a recent trip to Colorado and used the E470 toll road. I just received a bill in the mail for $56 for round trip travel. We had another family member following us in a separate car and their bill was only $14. I guess Colorado does not like people that come and visit their state with a trailer.

Au contrair, mon ami, they liked you enough to ravage your pocket book!

This is why I WILL NOT use a toll road no matter what is on the other end of it.

When we camp in southern Colorado I gladly pay the toll to use E-470 vs the parking lot called I-25 through Denver. Much less stressful. Since I'm an express toll customer I get a little discount.

The nasty thing is there is no place to pay the toll unless you are getting off in the middle somewhere. Yes, I got a bill for 31 bucks. I guess I looked poorer.

I used E-470 back in July of 2012 and it took them two and a half months before I finally got the bill ($28.35) in the mail. I do prefer the toll road over I-25 through Denver when towing.
