Regular unleaded is 3.37 per gallon 1 mile from the the refinery here in Big Spring. Over 500 wells drilled in the area last year and they still transport gasoline hundreds of miles and sell it cheaper than here. ???

I spent three tours in Kuwait from 1999 - 2003. Gas prices, in Kuwait, were about 15 cents to the gallon on average. The issue with our gas prices, that I believe, is this: How many cars are built in Kuwait? None! And this is why I believe our gas, and Diesel prices are so high. If the gas providers here, weren't so reliant, or should I say, "In cahoots" with the auto industry, I think the prices would reflect that. Just my opinion.

A lot of it has to do with taxes as well......local....state ....federal. That's why prices vary so much....well, there is also a decent % of greed factored in
