My concern is you are towing with a front wheel drive dodge caravan

I'm not technical ...
What does a front wheel driver have to do with all this?

The weight of the trailer vs the tow rating of the van might definitely be a concern, but what is the problem with front wheel drive?

The truck stops often have water and short hoses at the diesel islands. You might cause some trucker profanity if you were blocking a busy island to get water. I have seen some small stations that have a faucet out one side of the building. I think it would require asking at the counter

Didn’t read any replies so apologize if this has been mentioned, but the TruckMap app is free and phenomenal for finding camper accessible routes and truck stops.

All your traction is not stable on the road, but bouncing in the front like a fulcrum

I've come to the attitude that you must be ready to pass a station up if it doesn't look good. Wife checks google maps satellite image for lot size, pump angle, drive around and such. With motor home flat you g, backing out is out of the question. I'd have to disconnect the toad and back out each individually.

Another option is to carry a fuel container. We do this when travelling the back roads. Much easier to transfer fuel from a pump to container to tank than disconnecting TV or risking an accident in a too tight spot. We don't always fill the tank, but get enough to get to the next promising station.

Truck stops and large name brand gas stations should accomodate your rig.
