Ideas for 17

This year on vacation we done a lot of traveling with the camper never staying more than three nights in one spot, it was fun but very tiring. Next year I think I would like to stay in just one spot, what I have in mind is a large lake site in the pines or large trees that can be seen through, would like full hookup and not too far from civilization so we can go out to eat and what not. I live in Kentucky so I would like to limit my travel time to one or two days. Thinking around the great lakes area? Would like ideas from your past experiences.

Up in the UP of MI. You should have nice weather
with things like fishing and casinos for the older people.
We have an RV lot in Cedarville, MI that we enjoy. Good Luck

I second the UP in Michigan. Also anywhere along the east coast of Lake Michigan is nice.

Personally, we are looking at a trip to the Cedar Point/Sandusky area next summer. I have heard that the lake islands in that area have a Fl Keys vibe in the summer months.

I could agree with the FL Keys vibe up there based on the couple of times I've visited. But, based on my experience, you'll lose most of that vibe when you take a dip into the crazy cold water (even in August). But then, maybe I'm just a wimp. . .

Not a wimp...i dont even think about getting in the water. I prefer my lounge chair on the beach.
