Had reservations at the Twin Lakes Resort near Bridgeport Ca. for last Wednesday thru Sunday with a confirmation email for site #4 as we requested. We have been going there for the last 6 or 7 years camping with the same group of people. Anyway we arrive and setup and then find out that they actually had us in site #3. Site 3 is a weird tiny spot that would have you looking at the side of a really nice class A unit and not the mountains that we go to see.
Anyway after discussions with the owner they admit they made a mistake but we will need to move sites, so we decided that we would stay 2 nights in site 4 and leave Friday morning before the next people come in. The owner credited the days that we were not going to use and offered to reimburse our fuel costs. I am upset but this seems reasonable so when we got home we sent an email with the fuel cost and threw in the cost of the out of state fishing licence (which I did not think they would go for but why not try).
We received an email back saying that they would not reimburse the fuel cost for a multitude of reasons even tho they were the ones that made the offer.
I guess it is the same story, make the offer and after they are gone go back on your word.
Your word is really what defines you as a person, we will not be back!!
