Input July 4th Week
New at this so a little input would be great, wife and I only for this trip looking for a place to spend the week that has plenty of sites that we can drive to during the week to keep us busy. looking for good full hookup campgrounds. Place I am considering
Washington DC / Fredericksburg
Nashville
any other inputs would be great live in Michigan willing to drive 1 1/2 days to get there and back. Seeing that's the holiday week want to make my reservations this week

Michigan here as well. Do DC if you haven't yet. It's not a bad drive especially if you stop once. We stopped overnight at Friendship Village in PA. Nice place. In DC we stayed at Cherry Hill Park. Great place! Bus service to DC subway right from the campground. Cheap too, for 5 days we spent less than $20 per person using their metro card (good for busses and subway)! Get a premium pull through (most have more room). I recommend you print the campsite map and then go to Google maps and check out the aerial view to see which ones are largest. I can't remember the number but we stayed in the corner pull through right behind the bus station and across the street from their store. Excellent site!

X2 on cherry hill located in Maryland, have stayed in three different spaces but I agree with previous statement across from bus pickup and store seems the best.

There was a FROG rally at Nashville Shores in Nashville. They have a water park attached to RV park. I could not go to the rally but others could provide input.

Just keep in mind what ever you decide the tourist areas book fast for the July 4th week........ Example is Myrtle Beach Campgrounds are for the most part already booked for the summer.......... We book our site a year in advance.

We went to D.C. One year on the Fourth of July, we stayed at Cherry Hill and campground full and DC was overflowing on the fourth. We had fun, it was beyond crowded.
