Is Anyone Camping Christmas Week?

Just wondered if anyone was camping this week? Pretty crappy weather most places, but there must be some nice pockets here and there. Anyone lucky enough to be in one or heading to one? We can live vicariously.

Here's a cool idea. If you're stuck inside during a storm like we are, you might have time to read it. It's quite a charming idea though.

We are spending Christmas in our Surveyor SP 240 in our son's driveway but leave after that for Guadalupe River State Park, TX. Until after the first. Temp is suppose to be 50's day time and 35 at night. We consider that great camping weather. Meeting some friends there for New Years, campfire, s'mores and champaign at mid night. No fire works since it is a state park. Should be fun. We spent Thanksgiving at Lost Maples and it got down to 28. One night but the hearing system works great. Holiday Blessing to All!

I'm heading for my usual place at San Clemente SB here in SoCal. This will be my first Christmas camping trip so I'm looking forward to it.

For the first time ever, we won't be home for Christmas. We will be at our favorite near home campground! We are really looking forward to this!

Merry Christmas, y'all!

We will be home for Christmas but leaving on Friday afterwards to the in-laws. We are camping in the driveway there for the weekend. Only an hour and a half from home and supposed to be mid 60's day and 40's at night. I can handle that!!

We are at Carroll Woods Campground, in Tabor City, North Carolina thru Christmas. Very piece full and close to the wild life of Myrtle Beach.

We are camping out at Charleston Naval Weapons Station through Christmas and then head to Mayport, Florida through the New Year. Heading deeper into Florida until Feb. Staying south until it warms up in Virginia.

Going to Ocean lakes at Myrtle Beach the 26th - 31st. Took the cover off the trailer yesterday and starting to get it packed up ready to go. Usually end up winterizing the trailer 3 or 4 times each winter.

Not on Christmas, but we are leaving for Ocean Lakes CG in Myrtle Beach on the 31st for 7 nights. Should be a good fireworks show, plus we will watch the crazy folks jump into the ocean on New Year's Day, not me!

I guess I distinguish between "camping" and "RVing." Camping is when you have a tent or a rig with not quite all the comforts of home (like a chalet or popup) and have to cook outside. RVing is when you have the comforts of home.

I'm RVing the week of Christmas in Southern Oregon Coast. The park I'm at will have a Christmas potluck.

Hi Joe, I ended up not taking anytime off this week aside from the 2 days off, and didn't want to break camp on Christmas Day to get back to the real world. At which of our fine local campgrounds are you staying? We were at Flamingo Lake last month for BBQ festival last month.

Happy holidays!

I have spent some time on the OR. coast but do not recall spending any winter time there.
Even just north of Calif. it still must be chilly there.
