Lake Fausse Point State Park

Well, looks like we'll get a chance to make an outing.

I finally caught up on my spring Honey-Doos around the house, so it's off to Lake Fausse Point State Park, next weekend(Apr. 13-15).

This is a nice state park with 50 RV campsite located deep in the Atchafalaya Basin.

We made our first trip there last September and enjoyed it very much. This time, my sister and her DH will be tagging along. They've been thinking of buying a TT and want to see what it's all about.

I'm looking forward to spending a relaxing weekend.

Here's a few shots of our visit last year.

Later,

We had a pretty nice time, considering the weather we incountered Fri night and early Sat morning.

As stated before, my youngest sister and her husband accompanied DW(Pat) and I.
We arrived late Friday afternoon about 4:30 as the skis started to cloud up. According to the weather guessers, it looked as if we were going to be in far a rough weekend.
Well it got real windy after dark, and started to rain. As it turned out, the worst of the weather went toward the North of us.
When we awake Sat. morning, the rain was off and on, but light. About 10am, it started to clear up and the wind continued to blow.
All in all, the weekend turned out pretty good.

Below, we saw this young fella' patrolling the lake for a meal, or maybe he was just trying to sun himself.

It's not much, but HERE are a few more shots of our trip.

Well looks like you had a great trip in spite of the weather. Did you convince your sister and her husband to take up camping after the nasty weather?

Kim,

Yes, we did have a good and relaxing time.

I don't think the weather bothered them at all, but they're young and have more "wants" than "needs".
To answer your question, I really don't know.
