Arrived a little while ago in Glendale, Utah (near Zion national park, Bryce canyon, and a while from Lake Powell and the north rim of the Grand Canyon)
We were making good time, until we hit 2 sets of awful road construction along US 264 in Arizona.
Unfortunately it seems like the Navajo Nation are the worst at road construction. 30 min wait for a 1 way stretch of road led by a lead vehicle, over miles of terrible sticky tar gravel, which kicked up, chipped the paint on the truck, stuck in the tires, and the gravel piled up under camper slides etc.
I think i should file a lawsuit against the Navajo nation.
The rest of the drive along US264 was very scenic in bits, especially around Shongopovi.
Just before we arrived at Bauers Canyon RV Ranch we got a call to say that someone had given our site away earlier in the day, despite me having called earlier to confirm our 6 night reservation, so we're now stuck in a back in site, which was very awkward to get into, with construction work to repair the sewer line at the back of the site. We should be moved into our proper site in the morning, but I am NOT a happy camper
