Looking for a campground in the Shenandoah area.

We'll be traveling west on I-64 heading to Kentucky and thought we would spend a couple of days in the Shenandoah area. Would like full hookups but will settle for w/e and a dump station. Anyone know about "Buckhorne Country Store and Campground" or "Heavenly Acres"?
I appreciate any suggestions.

I do not recommend Heavenly Acres. Location is good, campground is not. It's a one-man show and pretty run-down. We stayed there 2 years ago (in a 'deluxe' cabin) and it was dirty and not well-maintained.

There are some recent reviews on TripAdvisor that mirror our experience. There are also some reviews that think the place was great. If you are going ONLY for the location and proximity to the park you might be OK. If you are looking for any amenities at all you won't find them.

Low water bridge is a good campground a lot smaller than Koa though.

Buckhorn is small and tight. Go a bit further to Douthat State Park's Whispering Pines campground loop. Only a couple miles past Buckhorn but so much nicer. Big and level sites with w/e and a dump station. This loop is only a couple years old so everything is modern. Cell coverage is okay here but further into the park you lose everything. Check out my pics of all the sites in Douthat here but remember to only stay at Whispering Pines loop. Everything else in the park is smaller with some tight roads and corners.

Luray KOA? We love that place. Shenandoah River State Park is also nice if you're on 340 but no Verizon cell service. Also in Luray right on 211 is Outlanders River Campground,. Nice no frills place with mountains all around and full hookups!

Limited hookups and more of a tenter/popup place.
