Lost our travel trailer licence plate

And we're about 1500 miles from home. What to do?

As long as you have the registration with you, should be fine. Poop happens and people know it.

Here in PA it needs to be reported as missing / stolen. Then a form mv45 or 46 is completed. They then send a new plate (might be free) . I am sure NY is similar.

When I got my license a few weeks ago, the DMV guy said "I suggest you get tamper proof screws. RV license plates are stolen very often"............

He said Lowe's. They don't have 'em. Neither does Home Depot. If anyone knows a source, holler...........

I am sure Google will help or Amazon .

We do not see it much around here for any tags. Trailer tags are completely different from car tags as far as the numbers on them read, as are cars and trucks so it would stand out quickly as not right.

Thanks for the help.

Those will fit a car license plate holder. Mine is a built-in threaded hole that is probably 2 inches deep......I'll have to take one of the bolts/screws to Lowe's, or compare to a known one, to get exact size. But I did a short search online and didn't really find them. I do need to research further...........I'm sure they are out there....

Wonder why you all have the Thefts. It used to be big around here and in Philadelphia like 10 years ago . They wanted the reg stickers. But now with all the license plate readers, no more registration stickers /no one seems to use them anyways, and our car computers they do not last long.

Oh mine wasn't stolen. The stupid plastic tabs that hold it broke off on the highway ... somewhere between Chimney Rock (in Nebraska) and the "Arch" on I80.
