I've been looking at this, too, along with the "Route 1" database add-on for Google Maps.

Would love to hear some reviews from the experienced RVers!

I think most states have low clearance maps. I know 20 years ago I had to buy a low clearance map for the Chicago area, picked it up at truck stop

I have used this app until I was able to purchase an RV type GPS. It works well but the set up on your GPS is rather involved, so if you are not much on computer skills this may too much. You have to set the warn distance from the low clearance in feet as I remember and I set mine for 2 miles. But that is a two mile circle around you, and it will warn of anything low within that distance even if it is off to the side of your travel.
It did serve the purpose but sort of a pain in areas that you are not familiar with.

Whats wrong with knowing how tall your rig is and watching the signs? That seems to have worked for years. I can imagine the lawsuits flying if one bridge or overpass gets missed in an update and a guy takes the A/C's off his camper because he no longer pays attention...

"But... But... The App didn't tell me I was too tall!!!"

And before you laugh at that, just know that people have driven into lakes because their GPS told them to turn and they did.

Low clearance warning...

I have looked at there website. I informed them of two low clearance locations that weren't on anybody's list.

I use AllStays Truck & Travel. I generally stick to truck routes when possible, even if they are the long way.
