The State Park is a fine place to stay and have a 'base camp'. There is a marina there if you have a boat.

We stayed at Musicland Camp Ground for a week in early April. Several large MH there, so size not an issue. Walking distance from the main strip, right behind the Titanic exhibit. Nice people run it and will get you discounted tickets to most any show. Don't miss the showboat "Branson Belle", just across the dam.

DH and I camp at Table Rock State park every year. In loop 2 it has concrete pads and full hookups.

There's a nice campground on the northwest side of Branson -- Shenanigan's. Quiet, yet close to town.

Branson Riverside RV Park. It is very close to downtown
and right on the river. We spent a week there in May 2015
with grandkid. It is run by the city and very nice. I was there with a
38 foot fiver in a pull thru site. I would recommend it.
There is also an Escapee RV park near by but my better half didn't
like it stating that it looked old. It is cheaper if you are an Escapee member which I am. Good Luck.

There are a lot of good campgrounds in the Branson area and I'm sure you'll get more suggestions but I'll give you a great tip. Stop by one of the Branson Visitors Centers and pick up a local map showing the various color routes (Blue, Red, Etc.) around Branson. Many times you can use these color routes to get to the various shows and attractions in Branson without having to deal with the heavy traffic on Hwy 76 (main drag).

Make the 50+ mile trip west to Eureka Springs, AR and see the Passion Play. It is fantastic, live animals, local people are the actors and the scenery is real. It is the last 3 days of Christ's life re-enacted. You will NOT be disappointed.

We have stayed at several campgrounds in and around Branson. Old Hwy 86 would be my first choice.

Very quiet, but tight in front section and steep in the back 40. Lol

No doubt about that, but you won't find nicer campgrounds hosts. They'll do everything to accommodate you, including discount show tickets.

I really liked the Good Sam campground. Its on the shore of Lake Tannecomo and very close to the strip.

Seen it many times over the past 40 years. Well recommend.

We are going to Cooper Creek in Branson off Lake Tanycomo in a couple of weeks. I will report back if you haven't booked a trip yet.

Cooper Creek is the GoodSam campground we stayed at last year. If you happen to like fishing, they have a really nice dock on the river so take your rods (or go to Walmart and get a couple of Zebs ;-) ). The lady that runs the place is very nice and she can give you the scoop on the best shows and she usually has some discount coupons. Last year boat rentals at the campground next door were cheap and cruising up and down the Tanny is quite nice. In the morning they'll have a beautiful mist on the lake (water is trout cold).
