Mt Rushmore on 4th of July
We got to thinking about our upcoming trip to Mt Rushmore and started thinking about the 4th of July. Does anyone know if they have a good FIreworks display and celebration around there? We have never seen a mega fireworks display and a friend of my DW who is from the States said we should say stateside for the 4th and enjoy it.
So anyone ever been around Mt Rushmore on the 4th of July?
Thanks

Last year and/or year before, they didnt have fireworks due to it being soo dry. I felt bad for people, because the park didnt make this announcement till a few hrs beforehand if at all. If I were you, I wouldnt take the risk of planning a trip based on seeing fireworks. It is a beautiful area and we are going there for a week in August, but this area is also in a pretty good drought.
