Could be - whatever the reason, that's one of the cleanest and well maintained power pedestals I have seen in awhile.

I see that you are very energy efficient & only use 15 amps.
What a strange way to setup, can you imagine trying to figure this out when you come in late & it is dark. Hopefully you have a good neighbor.

Nope, that 15A is for the (Drink Mixer)! She was making drinks while I was taking Pics. of the Elect.Panel. Since we setup I have ask the C/G about the Panels and they said they have (Adaptors) to loan if they need them? Youroo!!

The scorched GFCI is the thing that impresses me.
Was there a pair of shoes in front of the pole from the guy who unplugged it and was launched right out of them?
Looks almost like it was arcing from the hot leg to the ground.

I missed the scorched GFCI in the second photo - guess I will have to retract my "well maintained" part, but it's still cleaner than a lot of PP's I have seen.

Sure defeats the whole purpose of having peds like that. I am guessing the installer didn't know what he was doing, or how these are generally set up?

I wonder if there is a national or CG industry code (s) regarding the set up of these pedestals.

If there is, nobody is inspecting.

Probably not - something else that bugs me about CG's facilities such as PP's is where the water spigot is so close to the ground you have to strain to hook up your hose - we found some spigots to be very easy to connect to because they were high enough you can connect to them standing up - others were not.

After thinking about it and looking more; they would have had to buy them in this configuration. The ones that are set up for 2 30's do not have extra knock outs for breakers if they wanted to wire them for 50's. And the ones set up with 2 50's would have had more knockouts for the breakers. Unless I just cant see all the knockouts.
Or one of those breakers in the 30 amp setup is a 240 breaker and only using one leg???? It looks like one or two of them are pretty wide.

I also don't like when the sewer is close to the water spigot.

When sewer and water connections are close together, it does make it easier to recycle.

How about below ground level? The water hookup at Ramblin' Pines in Woodbine, MD is the strangest thing I've experienced in my limited RV'ing - it's literally in a 18" round tube sunk down into the ground that you have to move a concrete cover to get access to it.
Water hookup - from side/outside - this sticks UP out of the ground a good 8" or so
Water hookup/reaching down - you ultimately were reaching 3"-4" below ground level to hook up
Look #2 of the water hookup/looking inside

You might be surprised sometimes after removing the cover and finding other things besides the spigot down in the hole

Looks to me like a cheap way to avoid buying a more expensive handle type self draining (therefore freezeproof) spigot! Must be a real pleasure at night...I don't like spiders and snakes...
