Actually my pet peeve is people who leave their campsite with a burning fire.
I have a few neighbors that like to do this. What’s worse than leaving the fire unattended is the fact that they leave their kids to tend to the fire instead.

X2 and we have a dog that travels with us. She's a none barker - we often ask our campsite neighbors just to make sure. And, I will tell neighbors they're dogs bark continuously while they're gone. Politely, of course.

I was struggling with a fire last year, I'll blame it on the condition of the wood, when my neighbor took pitty on me and came over with an armful of cedar. I was right it was the wood.

I must admit I was guilty of this a couple times last year. At both sites they were heavily treed and the only easy access was the wrong direction. One of the sites I was able to exit the correct way with a couple spotters. Couldn't have imagined doing it backing in.

My number one pet peeve. Beside continuously barking dogs are late arrivals who insist on shouting to each other while trying to set up camp.really people, a certain amount of noise is expected, but shouting next to another campers windows is a Nono.
