I tell you what if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all, well I did have good luck one time, marriage to DW but that was a long time ago. I have not heard of anyone getting caught with red dye in diesel fuel but I guarantee that if I was to fill up one time with farmers diesel I would get caught leaving the station.

I am with you! I almost did it one time when I first got my truck. The OR fuel was in the line of regular diesel pumps. I was ready to stick the thing in the truck and read the FINE print! LOL

Pulled over at Canadian border

I got my fuel tank dipped when I pulled through the checkpoint entering Canada in Prescott, Ontario. The guy was from the Ministry of Finance or something.

Pulled about a gallon of fuel with a huge syringe.
I said "Your putting all of that back, right?". Fuel was $4.99 a gallon back then.

I wasn't even pulling a trailer at the time.

Well - did he put it back in the tank or not?

We occasionally drive through a farming section of our state and use a certain gas station to diesel up because they are open late. They have road and off-road diesel available at the same pump with the pump handles very close. Near my home, diesel pumps with two handles have one for big rigs and one pump handle spout sized for pickups. In other areas of our state, one handle is for #2 diesel and another handle is for #2 premium diesel. Seems like it would be easy for someone to unintentionally pump off-road diesel into their pickup if they were not paying attention.
