You may also want to consider Guadalupe River RV Resort. The folks are very nice and the park is beautiful. It sits right on the river with access to the river and wildlife sightings are common.

If I was going to Kerrville, TX, it would be at the Buckhorn Lake RV Resort. They have the Texas Frog Rally there in mid October and I have been there for the two years that it has been held and I also have reservations for October 2015. We looked at the area RV parks and nothing compared to Buckhorn. Good Luck

Since we live close we usually just make it a day and go towards Chappell Hill/Washington on the Brazos. You could stay at Lake Somerville, we usually stay at the COE, Yegua Creek. Lots of bikers in this area. Should be pretty this year.

Shriner State Park on the Guadalupe River. If you're a state park person, is nice. Lots of areas to stay in central Texas. We live in Lampasas, TX. It is 60 miles South of Austin, about an hour and a half form San Antonio, and 2 hours south of Dallas. Traveling from Kerrville through Marble Falls to Burnet. Lots of blue bonnets, hills, shops, etc. Lots of stops along the way. Every year 1,000s of bikers come through on HWY 183 to the Texas Biker Rally. Order a free Texas travel guide from Texas travel website.
