Thanksgiving

Almost that time folks, camper is loaded, beer is on ice, just gotta get through the day now! Plan on being on the road by 430 445 this afternoon, cant wait! Hope everyone has a good thanksgiving!

Well, heading out tomorrow about 3 PM for Branson with an overnite stop somewhere about Osceola, Iowa then the rest of the way Friday. 5 shows to see-The Bretts, The Hughes, Andy Williams, Dixie Stampede and Presley's. And somehow stop in at Billy-Gails Cafe, hope we can squeeze it all in, thanks for the hint Jeff- wish we had time to swing by your place, but maybe next time. Everyone have a safe and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

We will be heading for Branson Friday & returning home Sunday (not taking camper as only there for 2 nights-just getting out of town). We are members of Treasure Lake Resort in Branson (private gated campground), don't get to use it much but looking forward to using it a lot after retirement.

We are only going to be there 4 nites, but would rather drag the 5th wheel along rather than pickup hitchhikers (bedbugs) staying in motels.

Understand the Bed bugs...when staying in hotel we always go with 3-star or better hotel with good reviews and have yet to have any problems, use priceline and bid in for $45-$65 per night for 3 star and above. We may have pulled down this weekend but I figure for the price of the hotel I need to stay at least 3 nights to offset fuel expense + camper is winterized at this point in time.

I'm with you hotrod! Owning the RV so that I can sleep in my own bed and walk on my own carpet barefoot vs a hotel!

All loaded up and headed out first thing in the morning for Williams, AZ and Grand Canyon. Hopefully will be deep frying the turkey by early afternoon. Will post pics after first beer consumed.
