I travel all over Southern Ontario and never take the 407. There are alternate routes.
Now if only I could get everyone to boycott the highway.. But then again we Canadians are so submissive ( spend huge sums extra for same cars and trucks the USA gets that are built right here)

Last winter the temp in BC was milder then many parts south of MD line. But the summers in Canada need to be cooler or the igloos would melt.

We came through Mass turnpike last Sept and I thought I was too wide for the regular booth. So I pulled through the EZ pas lane and sent DW back to pay the toll.
The state trooper told her we just incurred a 50 dollar fine.
Then he asked what state we were from.
Not from any state - Canadian.
And then she said the "meathead" word and the fine went to 100$ lol.
Ended up with a warning and purchasing an EZ pass reader

You were right, I didn't give them enough time. Today is my birthday and the bill from Express Toll ($28.35) arrived in the mail today. Two and a half months after I drove on E-470 the bill finally arrives. I think Express Toll is a misnomer. Nothing Express about that.
At my age, I'm lucky I can even remember where I was driving on July 1st.

I live in the NW suburbs of Chicago, Rte59 and I90. Like I said earlier. I have avoided the IL Tollway legalized robbery scam. I have been to MI. twice this summer. took a trip to the Dells. and a couple trips out to western IL. not one toll was paid. I planned my route to avoid the tolls. I probably saved close to $100 dollars! and each trip probably took an extra 10-15 min. that makes it worth every penny!!!

It gets worse with every year that passes. I can't remember if I locked my hitch into the receiver that I was working on last night at dusk. I didn't see anyone dart out of the lane behind me so I assume its pinned. My luck I'll forget it when I leave here in 8 hours.
