This is the type of person that gives us all a bad rap because of stupidity and inability to read posted signs.

That's where I first saw it. I commented that the curve doesn't appear to me to be that sharp and if the driver had stayed to the inside of the white line,he/she should have able to take the curve.

Then someone posted that there is a sign(s) cautioning people not to travel that stretch of road with large vehicles ( don't recall exact wording).

As Oakman said map&plan, map&plan, and then map&plan some more. However sh.. happen s even when you plan, the driver could have been distracted for a second and missed the warning signs or for whatever reason! I don't believe he would have knowingly went there!
I feel for that person and hope it all turned out well for them.
Of all the things I've lost in my life the thing I miss the most is my mind!

Wow. Many words come to mind here but I push them back. Could have been me. Was there in sept and had to fold in tow mirrors on the TV. How in the world could you not see this coming?

I love that side shifter. If I still had a Fiver I would have one installed. Not only can you move the camper like that, think of the ease of changing a flat or blown tire.

As far as the other guy, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. But looking at the vid, he could have easily made that turn without hitting the guard rail. He just took a bad angle the first time. I don't know if insurance covers stupidity. It usually doesn't.

Other than the poor decision making on the travel route and tearing up the trailer in the tunnel. This appears be a good case in point for having 4x4 and a slider.
You can find yourself in interesting predicaments even if you plan ahead.
