Travel Through Virgin River Gorge in Utah

My wife is concerned with the narrow single lane going through the construction area in the Virgin River Gourge heading toward Utah. She says its a 12 ft tolerance. Does anyone know of difficulties with this traverse for an RV.

Hey Jim- good to see you again.

I don't think there is any issues as Brad and Lordes just got back from Zion with their new class a and didn't state any issues.

Thanks, Trent, Renee is worrying me silly about that passage. She got back from there in her Honda Fit and she says there are signs posted all along the road saying 10 ft. maximum.

Just got a message back from Brad. Yes, 10 ft wide restriction but you are Dow to a single lane so you only have to worry about walls on either side. So take your time and thread the needle!

Bring an extra Xanax for afterwards!

Just came through there heading south in June with our Georgetown 378TS with no problems, just slow down as you should in any construction zone.

My wife still remembers her first driving experience in our then new 2004, 34 ft DP. She drove from Zion NPark thru the Virgin Gorge as we headed back to CA. You'll make it just fine, just drove it again in May. Enjoy the views.

Thanks to all. I have the ammunition I need to convince her to make a trip up that way. There is a lot of very scenic stuff in that direction.

Virgin River Gorge

Even though there is heavy construction through here, which makes my wife very nervous, this is her favorite part of the trip.

Have a great time! Please take notes of the really nice places to stay and go as Sam and I haven't been up that way yet.
