We meet a new friend for breakfast

We the wife and i finally made it out on the first trip of the year. We went to Arkabutla State Park just south of here. (Our normal weekend out place)

This morning I went out to start cooking breakfast and we had a new friend. This little guy came as close a 4 feet to me and was not scared or mean. You tell he has got used to people feeding him.

So after he scared the snot out of me I seen he was ok. He followed me around for 20 miniutes and I could not get him to leave. So I fed him some dog food and he got his belly full and moved on after 3 hours hanging with us.

Some critters do figure out the easy way to shop. Somewhere I have a photo of a chipmunk sitting in the dog's food dish pigging out at a campsite! I have also had a squirrel peek over the lid of a coleman portable propane stove while I was scrambling eggs!

My last trip to the Davis Mountain State Park in West Texas, we had a rather large racoon saddle on up to our 55 gal ice chest (you know the big huge white ones with 2 latches) open that thing up, grab a snack and leave. I think it was a peanut bar. Hmmm, time to start putting something heavy on the ice chest.
