Hello again from a cold snowy England - UK that is!
We have finally got a date when we head off across the Channel to Sicily via France...
A minor hiccup as newbies - our first choice campsite happened to be on the banks of the Thames - we moved the 5ver there on the 16th December with no problems only to then have 2 weeks of solid rain - and yup, you guessed it - the river flooded so we had to hitch up in 6 inches of water (and ducks swimming past!) and go find some dry land - it was only the 2nd time hitching so I reckon if we did it in those conditions, we can do it anywhere!
So next Sunday will see us on the ferry across to France and first stop, a campsite outside Bordeaux for a few nights...
I will see if I can put a photo or two of our watery rescue up somewhere here - hope the road treats you kind...catch up soon!
